Mix Sessions Get Juiced (Part 2)
First of all, BIG HUGS AND THANK YOUS TO ALL WHO HAVE GIVEN THE MAD BEACH 6-PACK A LISTEN! We’re loving the feedback and gettin’ stoked every time we can hammer them out for you live. It was such a gas to put together and to work with some of the greatest human beings on the planet in the process.
DOUG JOHNSTON: Michael Jackson and Salt-N-Peppa ring a bell? Yeah, Doug? He’s a gold record guy, no worries… he’s got it covered.
RONNIE DEE: THEE Ronnie Dee! Producer / performer / songwriter extraordinaire. One of the best frontmen in music! Music creds all over the freakin’ place and a catalyst for creativity.
MATT (EFFING) WALLACE: R.E.M., Everlast, Faith No More, The Replacements, Deftones, Train, Blues Traveler, Maroon 5, Spin Doctors, O.A.R., Blackberry Smoke, 3 Doors Down… Ya’ heard of them??!! This is the dood that mixed mix our tunes! Absolute BEAST! Nuff said…
There are no words to truly describe the amazing experience we had working with these fine peeps and we can’t wait to do it again! We’re writing, playing, and rehearsing, crankin’ that Florida Swamp-ness out for your aural pleasure in the not-so-distant future. Keep on keepin’ on beautiful peeps!
It Got Rowdy Under The Overpass!
So yeah, this happened today. Me and Billy kickin' it with The Greg Billings Band. Bucket list item... CHECK! Oh, and yep, we killed it openeing for these badasses! St Pete Sons love all you beautiful peeps!
Y'all need to check out The LBC
Ya know those moments when the universe seems to swirl around you in an ethereal blanket of happiness? Well, I don’t know if it was the heat but, there was a vibe running through this joint that all the bands seemed to be hitching a ride on. Thanks to Brother Phil and the Honkeys for putting together a killer Labor Day Festival together! And extra thanks for everyone who made it out!

Mad Beach Six Pack Drop
My goodness! This collection of tunes was sooooooo ridiculously fun to put together, we hope it translates to y’all who listen. Crank it up! Get your hands up and shake what yo mama gave ya! Live and Love, you beautiful peeps, you…
Got Our Groove On @ HippieFest
That was far out, man! The Tarpon Springs HippieFest was HOT on and off stage. Setlist included some new tunes when we let the freak flag fly and tried to blow some minds as we kept on truckin’. (Is that enough hippie talk for ya?) NO?! Cool, we dig it, baby! We were so lucky to be sharing the stage with Shevonne and The Force and the best block party band ever, The Black Honkeys. Thanks for all those who braved the heat to come see us, y’all are outta sight. Much love, peeps… much love to ya’s
The Tap Was Lit!
Nothing much more to say, other than THANK YOU to all who came out. Much love to y’all!
Started the 4th Weekend Strong
It was a little questionable whether the rain would hold off, and in the end we had to bail a tad early, HOWEVER, we and everyone were ready to start this 4th of July party a couple days prior to the fireworks! Lots of smilin’ faces and butt shakin’ goin’ on. Nothing better than looking over a sea of people with drinks in the air and dancin’ like nobody’s watchin’! Love all y’all!

Double Dipping on a Saturday
Starting around noon, we had the pleasure of playing one of Tampa’s hottest events as we tested the waters on the other side of the bay for the first time. With all the beautiful people drinkin’ and shakin’ their butts to the wonderful music and smells in the air, the Tampa Beer, Bourbon, and BBQ Festival lineup was paired up like peas and carrots. Halfway thru our set, the illustrious Ronnie Dee and his voodoo sax blew the most Zen tones known to man! An absolute honor to share the stage with such a legend!

We packed our stuff, headed for The Tap, and found ourselves in a packed joint full of sexy folk that had a serious hankerin’ for live music. Gawd-Dayum y’all were crazy awesome! What a vibe, what a crowd, what a gas! We were waiting for the beach balls to get tossed around, but I guess the ceiling was too low.

Thanks to all who came out! We’re in this together, y’all, let’s have some fun! On this day… mission accomplished.
COLLABORATE AND LISTEN
Music for The King (Of The Beach 2021)
What a great crowd! We saw people we haven’t seen in a loooong time and met lots of friendly new ones, too! And the after parties? Yeh, frikin’ nuts! It’s impossible to describe how much fun we have up on stage, we only hope it translates to y’all. Much love to those who were able to swing out. It’s obvious people and businesses are relaxing a bit more from covid, and with that, we should be seeing all your beautiful faces in the near future.

JANNUS WAS A GAS!
Much love to all who came out for a little break with us the other night. We were so happy to knock some of the rust off and share our new jams with y’all. Hope we got your butt shakin’ and your mind right for a little while to block the craziness. Jannus is such a great venue, whether you’re on the stage or not, and we were stoked to open it back up for local bands with The Inhalers. Big hugs to everyone!
MARCH 12th: Dusting Off the Gear
We are returning to our old stomping grounds, The Saltwater Hippie, after more than a year of being off stage. We’re so freakin’ stoked to be dusting off the instruments. Come on out if ya can make it, love to see you!
MIXING SESSIONS GET JUICED
Though we aren’t allowed, at this time, to name the incredibly talented producer/mixer that we managed to finagle into putting his voodoo juju on our mixes, rest assured his mixes are raw dog hard hitters. He has brought our vision to another level and we couldn’t be happier with the results. If’n you like the good old fashioned Swampy-Florida-Rock and Roll, we gotcha baby! We out here. Hoping for an early summer release date, until then, maybe we can get back on the stage?
COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS
Florida is presently in Phase 3: With restrictions easing up, some venues, still trying to recover, are slowly booking loud live bands again. As things keep moving in this direction, we’ll be out and about in no time. Stay strong beautiful peeps! We’ll see you shortly!
The Corona Effect
Not being able to play any gigs as a band has been a real drag. However, for the past few weeks, we’ve been in and out of the studio at All Access Recording with Ronnie Dee and Doug Johnston. We’ve laid down a six pack for the EP we’ve been promising for a bit now. We’re about to hit the mixing process and are pretty stoked about how well things have been going! Huge shout out to the boys @allaccessrecording and highly recommend you take your next project there. Tell ‘em The Sons sent you and maybe you’ll get a free cup of coffee… Can’t wait to throw some swampy grooves your way! Stay tuned!
